Bot Malicious program code that infects computers, usually gaining access to a system through spam e-mails.
Botnet An online network of computers controlled by an outside source.
Browsing history The record or log of websites a user visits that is kept by a computer.
Cache A reference to the storage location where a computer’s browser can recall files a user has accessed.
Calendar subscription A link to another calendar that updates when the other calendar is changed.
Firewall A device that follows a set of rules for transmissions coming into a computer system to protect the system from threats such as malware and viruses
Malware Computer software that works as an independent program that infects a computer’s files and programs after being downloaded from what looks like a trusted source.
Spam Unsolicited mass-produced e-mail.
URL The combination of words and numbers of a web address.
virus Computer software unknowingly downloaded from what looks like a trusted source that is designed to infect a computer’s programs and files by using those programs and files to attack others on the system.
