TermDefinition
Setting The time and place of we're the book happens.
Characterization It is describing the character indirect or direct.
Internal conflict Man v.s himself
External conflict Man v.s nature
Theme The life lesson of a story.
Irony A event that seems opposite of what u thought was going to happen.
Personification Giving nonhuman things human traits.
Simile Comparing 2 things using "like" or "as".
Metaphor Comparing 2 things without using like or as.
Alliteration Using the same word more than once.
Imagery Describing a event using words in a story.
Dramatic irony Audience nows more about play than the character does.
Foreshadowing It is hinting that something bad is going to happen.
Allusion Appears to be true.
Symbol Something that stands for something else.
