| apprenticeship | a program in which aq person learns to do a certnit job by working with a skilled worker |
| associate degree | a certificate of completion awared to person after completing a program of study a particular area, usually lasting two years |
| bachelor's degree | a certificate of completion awarded to parson after successfully completing a required set of college courses in both general and specific areas |
| credit | unit of measurements that school use to determine whether students are progressing toward graduation |
| elective | a course that is not requred but can be chosen by students accoeding to their intersts |
| financial aid | methods of paying for eduction/training, such as grants,scharships,etc. |
| GED certificate | a document stating that a person has passed as five-part test in the areas of writing,social studies,science,reading, and math |
| graduat school | a program of study beyond a bachelor's degree |
| internship | atemorty paid or inpaid position that involves directwork experience in career field |
| On-the-job(OJT) | learnig on the job |
| postsecondary education | any eductation or training fowlloing high school |
| prerequsisite | a cource that is requried before another course can be taken |
| tuition | the fee that colleges charge to take their classes |
| vocational | a course or program that teaches job skill |
