| credit | unit of mesurment that schools use to determan wheater students are progressing toward graduation |
| elective | a course that is not required but can be chosen by students according to their intersets |
| financal aid | methiods of paying for education/training such as grants scolerships, etc. |
| ged certifificate | a document stating that a person has passed a five-part testin the areas of writing, socal studys, science, reading, and math |
| graduate school | a program of study beyond a bacholers degree |
| internship | a teporary paid or unpaid position that involves direct work experince in a career field |
| on-the-job-training | learning on the job |
| postsecendary education | any education following high school |
| prerequisite | a corse required befour another course can be taken |
| tuition | the fee that collages charge to take there classes |
| vocational | a corse or programthat teaches job skills |
