General Protection Fault A windows error that occurs when a program attempts to access a memory adress.
memory bank The memory a processor adresses at once time.
parity An error checking scheme in which a ninth bit is added.
parity error Error in the checking scheme.

RIMM Memory developed by rambus.
SIMM Single inline memory module.
Single channel Can only access DIMM at a certain time.
