| General Protection Fault (GPF) | a windows error that occurs when a program attempts to access a memory adresses that is not available. |

| SO-DIMM (small outline DIMM) | laptops use a smaller version of a DIMM |
| synchronous DRAM (SDRAM) | the first DIMM to run synchronized with system clock |
