Flash Vocabulary

TermDefinition
Flash Document a blank document in flash.
Tools Panel pannel located on the left side of the screen
Panels individule windows that hold options for certain items.
Property inspector A dynamic properties viewer that displays the properties of the current selection, usually of a particular type of object.
Movie an animation in flash that uses swf extentions.
Stage The platform for the animation.
timeline organizes and controls the content and layers.
Frame a single image in an entire animation.
Keyframe defines a specific property during animation.
Property keyframe defining one or more propery.
Layers where you organize the document.
Scene a series of frames made into one animation.
Edit bar displays both the scene and symbol tabs.
Symbol an element that is able to be reused.
Instance a copy of an item (Ex: Layer, symbol)
Library where you store and orginize symbols
Motions Tweening smooth movement that changes over time.
Classic Tweening changes the number of frames between two keyframes.
Shape Tweening interpolation of a shape between keyframes.
Sounds sounds triggered by an action.
Actions actionscripts that control an object or the timeline.
XFL file an exchange format for flash that allows to import from indesign and dreamweaver.
XMP- Extensible Metadata Platform a program that allows you to embed data about a file.
