Assumptions Layer of Culture that is unobservable
Beliefs Perceptions that people hold about how things are done in their community
Culture Set of shared values and beliefs that a grou pholds and that determines how the group perceives, thinks about,and appropriatly reacts to various environments
Decision Rights Who has the resposibility to initiate, supply information for, approve, implement, and control various types of decisions
Enacted Values The values and norms that are exhibited or displayed in employee behavior.
Espoused Values
Flat Organization Structure Less defined structure, no middle managers
Hierarchical Organization Structure Bueracratic form with defined levels
Matrix Organization Structure People have 2 or more supervisors to make sure different parts of the company are integrated
Networked Organization Structure Flat and Hierarchical, made possible by IT
Observable Artifacts The most visible layer of a culture
Organizational Strategy includes that organizations design, as well as choices that define, set-up, coordinate, and control its work process
Values Reflect the community's aspirations about the way things should be done
