What is Identity Theft? Identity theft occurs when someone illegally uses your personal information such as name, address or financial information for their own interests.
What is Phishing e-mails? Phishing is an e-mail fraud in which the perpetrator sends out legitimate-looking e-mails in an attempt to gather personal and financial information from recipients.
What is Cyber Stalking? Cyber stalking is the use of the Internet or any electronic device to stalk other people.
Who is Cyber Predator? Cyber Predators are sexual predator usually male and they look for victims in common websites that are most visited by youngsters, pretending that they are of the same age
Who are HACKERS? HACKERS are usually programmers who try to find holes in the systems to enhance their knowledge.
What are the damages of Identity Theft? The damage of identity theft is not only limited to financial losses; the victims can also be wrongly associated with criminal activities that they didn’t commit.
From where does Cyber Stalker collect information about its victims? Cyber stalkers find information on their victims from various sources such as blogs, search services, and social networking websites.
How can you protect yourself from Cyber Stalker? 1. Keep your personal information safe; do not expose it to others 2. Do not use your real name when communicating in forums and chat rooms 3. Use user names that do not reveal your gender (especially for women)
Who are Crackers? Crackers illegally access someone's else system with an intention to distribute malicious software
How can you permanently erase the data from your computer? Physically destroy the hard drive or use shredder software to permanently erase the data on the hard drive
