indent space between the margin and where the text begins
first-line indent description of an indent in a paragraph when only the first line of the text in the paragraph is indented
hanging indent description of an indent when the first line is not indented but all of the following lines are indented in a paragraph
margins blank areas around the sides of a page
alignment position of the text between the margins
left align positions text so it is aligned along the left margin
center align positions text centered between the right and lift margins
right align positions text so it is aligned along the right margin
justify aligns text to both the left and right margins adding extra space between words as necessary
page orientation layout position of a piece of paper for printing
portrait orientation page is rotated so it is longer than it is wide
landscape orientation page is rotated so it is wider than it is long
page breaks divisions between the pages of a document
header text which is printed at the top of each page of a document
