The future of IT careers Many IT managers believe that the future IT career model will be diamond-shaped: few entry-level jobs (because of offshore outsourcing of many IT positions), many mid-level positions, and few high-level positions.
Problems of the IT future lack of experienced professionals to fill the mid-level positions. Smaller companies that do not outsource due to scale may be the source of mid-level IT jobs required tin larger organizations.
