IP Address | A number that identifies each computer or device connected to the Internet. |
Domain Name | The text version of an IP Address. |
World Wide Web (WWW) | Consists of a worldwide collection of electronic documents (Web Pages). |
Web Site | A collection of related Web pages and associated items. |
Web Page | An individual HTML Document. |
Web Server | A computer that delivers requested Web pages to your computer. |
Web 2.0 | Web sites that provide a way for users to interact. |
Web Browser | Allows users to access Web pages and Web 2.0 programs. |
Homepage | The first page that a Web Browser displays. |
Links | A word, phrase, or image that you can click on to open a new document or to go to a new web page. |
Downloading | The process of receiving information. |
URL / Web Address: | A unique address for a single Web Page. |
Tabbed Browsing | Allows you to open and view multiple Web pages in a single Web browser window |
Search Engine | Finds information related to a specific topic. |
E-mail Program | Allows you to create, send, receive, forward, store, print, or delete e-mail messages. |
Mailing List | A group of e-mail names and addresses given a single name. |
