Intro color terms

QuestionAnswer
Hue the name given to a color
color wheel shows how colors are related to each other
primary colors red, blue, yellow
Secondary colors red and blue= violet blue and yellow= green yellow and red= orange
intermediate or tertiary colors when you mix equal parts of one primary and on secondary color.
tint a value lighter than that on the colr wheel... ADD WHITE
shade a value darker than that on a color wheel... ADD BLACK
Monochromatic one hue with different tints and shades
Complimantary 2 colors that are directlty across from each other on the color wheel
Analogous 3 or more colors next to each other on the color wheel
warm colors orange, red, yellow
netutral colors tans, browns & white
cool colors blue, green, violet
