| latitude | the angular distance north or south from the equator of a point on the earths surface measured on he meridian of the point. |
| longitude | angular distance east or west on the earth's surface. |
| equator | the great circle of the earth that is equidistant from the North pole and the South pole. |
| Primemeridian | the meridian ruuing through Greenwich'England' from which longitude east and west is reckoned. |
| international dateline | separates 2 consecutive calender days. |
| tropic zone | between the tropic of cancer and the tropic of capricorn; characterized by a hot climate. |
| absolute location | specific, exact point of reference, address. |
| relative location | not as specific location. |
| perspective | a technique of depicting volumes and spatial relationships on a flat surface. |
| proximity | nearness in place, time, order,occurrence. |
| distance | the exact or amount of space between two things, points, lines, etc. |

| bearing | the manner in which one condusts or carries oneself, inculding posture and gestures. |
