Sexual/Asexual Reproduction
| Fungal Element | Definition |

| Conidia | Reproductive structures produced by an asexual mode |
| Spore | Reproductive structures produced sexually, also the asexual propagules of the Zygomycetes |
| Conidiophore | Structure that supports conidia |
| Sporangium | Saclike structure where sporangiospores are formed (Zygomycetes) |
| Arthroconidia | Directly from hyphae by modification of cell wall (barrels) |
| Blastoconidia | Budding of cell, ie. yeast |
| Chlamydoconidia | Directly from hyphae (swelling) |
| Ascospore | Sexual spore formed in a saclike structure following meiosis |
| Zygospore | Round, thick-walled spore produced in a saclike structure by fusion of two hyphal tips of zygomycete |
| Basidiospore | Spore formed in a club-shaped reproductive structure following meiosis |
