Exposition | groundwork(i.e. setting, relationships between characters, situation before conflict) |

Inciting Incident | interrupts peace/balance of situation and character comes into conflict with outside force, himself, or another character |
Climax | most critical moment-- main conflict= highest point |
Denouement | problem- unraveled; revelation of meaning |
