What led to the Indian Independence Movement? The philosophy of nationalism and the idea of home rule
What organization led the struggle for Indian independence? The Indian National Congress
How did Gandhi help lead the Indians to independence? He led a campaign of civil disobedience in which he led the Indians to refuse to obey unjust laws.
What was Gandhi's Salt March? It was a protest of the British tax on salt in which Gandhi led thousands of Indians to the Indian Ocean and taught them to make their own salt.

Why did the U.S. rebuild Japan after WWII? We wanted an ally and trading partner in that part of the Pacific.
Who was put in charge of the rebuilding of Japan? General Douglas MacArthur
Why did MacArthur create a parliamentary instead of a presidential democracy in Japan? A parliamentary democracy would leave a place for the Emperor as a ceremonial leader. If the Emperor was removed completely the Japanese would not have cooperated as much.
