influence | (noun) The capacity or power of persons or things to be a compelling force on the actions, behavior, opinions, etc. of others (verb) To sway or affect someone or something |

development | Growth; progress |
Poverty Point | A state historic site located in northeastern Louisiana |
legacy | Anything handed down from the past as an ancestor or predecessor |
historical | Of, pertaining to, treating, or characteristic of history or past events |
adapt | To change the way you do something |
region | A large land area with special features that it different from other areas |
established | To found, build, or bring into being on a firm or stable basis |
economic | Pertaining to the production, distribution, and use of income, wealth, and commodities |
trade | Buying or selling of goods and services |
