What was the French & Indian War? French and Indian War/Seven Years' War, 1754–63. The French and Indian War was the North American conflict in a larger imperial war between Great Britain and France known as the Seven Years' War.
What was the Proclamation of 1763? On October 7, 1763, King George III issued a proclamation that forbade colonial settlement west of the Appalachian Mountains. In so doing, he hoped to placate Native Americans who had sided against him during the recently concluded Seven Years' War.
What was the Stamp Act? The Stamp Act was passed by the British Parliament on March 22, 1765. The new tax was imposed on all American colonists and required them to pay a tax on every piece of printed paper they used.

Why was the battle of kettle creek important? a major encounter in the back country of Georgia during the American Revolutionary War. It was fought in Wilkes County about eight miles (13 km) from present-day Washington, Georgia.
Why is the siege of savannah important? It was the most serious military confrontation in Georgia between British and Continental troops, as the Americans, with help from French forces, tried unsuccessfully to liberate the city from its yearlong occupation by the British.
