"No Taxation Without Representation" The colonial slogan to express anger over not having a say about British taxation because they had no representation in Parliament
Boston Massacre Colonial leaders used this event as propaganda to influence the colonists to rise up against the British
Boston Tea Party To protest the monopoly granted to a British tea company over the tea trade in the colonies, the Sons of Liberty boarded trade ships and dumped the tea into Boston Harbor
Intolerable Acts Laws punishing Boston for the Boston Tea Party which included closing Boston Harbor, no public meetings, and closing down colonial assemblies
Samuel Adams A leader of the Sons of Liberty who started the Committee of Correspondence to stir up support for American Independence
