Cotton gin Eli Whitney,an American inventor best known for inventing the cotton gin. This was one of the key inventions of the Industrial Revolution and shaped the economy of the Antebellum South
Steam Engine Thomas Savery, an English inventor and engineer, born at Shilstone, a manor house near Modbury, Devon, England. He is famous for his invention of the first commercially used steam powered engine.
Textile Mill Samuel Slater took his skills in designing and constructing factories to New England, and he was soon engaged in reproducing the textile mills that helped America with its own industrial revolution.
National Road/ Erie Canal A National Roadconnect Cumberland, Maryland to the Ohio River. In 1811 the first contract was awarded and the first 10 miles of road built.
