| Term | Definition |
| Publication | A document containing text and graphics that is distributed in print or online. |
| Font | The appearance of the typed text. |
| Logo | A picture or graphic that visually represents a company or business. |
| Flyer | A sign that usually contains information or promotional material. |
| Format | To change the appearance of text, objects, shapes, word art, text boxes, etc. |
| Page Borders | Allows you to put a border (line, picture, or other artwork) around the whole page. |
| Line Color | Allows you to add color to the outside line of selected objects (shapes, word art, text boxes, etc) |
| Fill Color | Allows you to add color to the inside of selected objects ( shapes, word art, text boxes, etc) |
| Shading | Allows you to add color to selected areas on the page (shapes, word art, text boxes, etc) |
| Page Layout | The way the objects, shapes, and text are arranged on the page. |
| Group | When many objects are used to make one object so they can be moved or resize all at once. |
| Brochure | A small booklet or pamphlet, often containing informational or promotional material |
| Text Wrapping | Formatting for the pictures that specifies how the text wraps around the whole page. |
| Text Box | A box that can be colored or transparent and automatically allows you to type within its boundaries. |
| Shapes | Objects that can be drawn on your page; you can add color patterns or text to these objects. |
| Bulleted List/ Numbered list | Formatting for text that allows you to create lists throughout your document. |
| Table | A box that contains rows and columns and is used to organize data. |
