Allele | A form of a gene or a trait. A trait may have more than two alleles. For example eye color: blue |
chromosome | The direction/instructions for an organism's traits. Long strand of DNA. Most animals have 2 sets of chromosomes. Humans have 1 set of 23 chromosomes from mother and 1 set of 23 chromosomes from father. |
DNA | The substance that makes up chromosomes. Deoxyribonucleic Acid. |
