| Cloud | A metaphor for a global network, first used in reference to the telephone network and now commonly used to represent the Internet. |
| Cloud Computing | Cloud computing, often referred to as simply “the cloud,” is the delivery of on-demand computing resources—everything from applications to data centres—over the Internet on a pay-for-use basis. |
| Platform as a Service (PaaS) | Cloud platform services, whereby the computing platform (operating system and associated services) is delivered as a service over the internet by the provider. |
