WPM (Word per minute) | WPM means Words Per Minute. It is a measure of the output speed. |
Backspace | a key on a typewriter or computer keyboard that causes the carriage or cursor to move backward. |
Keyboarding Posture | Sit up straight and feet on the floor not much pressure in your back or elbows. |
Caps Lock | Caps lock is a lock key found on many computer keyboards, depending on the local keyboard layout they implement. |
Keyboard Shortcut | A keyboard shortcut is a key combination that performs a certain command, such as closing a window or saving a file. |
Control Key (CTRL) | a key that alters the function of another key if both are pressed at the same time. |
QWERTY | denoting the standard layout on English-language typewriters and keyboards, having q, w, e, r, t, and y as the first keys from the left on the top row of letters. |
Cursor Control Key | Keys on terminal or microcomputer keyboards, usually designated with arrows, that position the screen cursor up, down, right or left. |

Shift Key | slight change in position, direction, or tendency. |

Home Keys | a key on a computer or typewriter keyboard that acts as the base position for one's fingers in touch-typing. |
Spacebar | a long key on a typewriter or computer keyboard for making a space between words. |
Function Keys | a button on a computer keyboard, distinct from the main alphanumeric keys, to which software can assign a particular function. |
PrtSc | Print screen is a key present on most PC keyboards. It is typically situated in the same section as the break key and scroll lock key. The print screen may share the same key as system request. |
Gross WPM | GWPM, which is short for Gross Words Per Minute, GWAM is short for Gross Words A Minute and is similar to WPM except it does not account for any errors. |
Net WPM | it is more a measure of typing productivity than of just typing speed. In other words, a fast but error-prone typist will receive a lower net typing speed than a slower but more accurate typist - relatively speaking of course. |
