Term | Definition |
Margins | The blank areas around the top, bottom, and sides of a page ward sets default margins, you can change. |
Alignment | Refers to the position of the text between the margins. |
Left Align | Text lined upon the left margin. |
Right Align | Text lined upon the right margin. |
Corner Align | Text lined up in the center of the page. |
Justify | Text aligned both at the left and right margins |
Bullets | Any small chance that appears before an item. |
Vertical Alignment | Positioning text between the top and bottom of the text. |
Mirrored Margins | Where instead of left and right margins the pages inside and outside the margins. |
Inside Margins | Also called Gutter margin is the right margin on the left page and the right page. |
Outside Margins | Left margin on the left page and the right margin. |
Indent | The space between text and the documents margin. |
First-Time Indent | Only the first line of the paragraph is indented. The top marker on the ruler |
Negative Indent | Can create by dragging the index of markers on the ruler to the left past the left margin. |
Hanging Indent | In which the first full line of text is not indented but the follow lines are. |
Tab Step/Tabs | Mark the place where the insertion point with the stop when you press the tab key. |
Leader | Solid, dotted, or dashed lines that fill in the blank space before a tab setting. |
Multilevel List | A list that has 2 or more levels or numbering. |
Outline Numbered List | A numbered multilevel list. |
