Access Copyright | A non-profit corporation in Canada |
Copyright | All property rights. No individual has the right to reuse or copy this property. The owner only has the right to copy. |
Intellectual Property | non-physical, or non-existent object property. For example, song lyrics. |
Royalty | A payment for copyright use to the owner of the product. |
Trademarks | One person's or company's distinctive name or slogan that is used to differentiate goods or services. |
Public Domain | Any information, images, writing,etc., that is posted on the internet and is accessible to the public to copy and reuse. |
Moral Rights | Are rights to the creator for their copyrighted works. |
Performing Rights | Allows individuals to perform types of music legally. |
Plagiarism | The act of taking someone else's ideas and using them as your own. |
Fair Dealing | Are exceptions and limitations of a copyright. |
Patent | An authority that protects the owner's rights to their product. |
Blanket License | A license that allows an individual the rights to the product, to sell, copy, etc. However, can only do so with a fee. |
