| Bit | The smallest possible unit of binary information that can be entered or stored in a computer

| Peripheral Devices | Pieces of hardware that can be used for ease of input, converting output to an easily readable format, and extra storage.

| CPU | Stands for Central Processing Unit. The "brain" of the computer. 3 parts: the control unit, the arithmetic logic unit, and the memory unit.

| USB | Universal Serial Bus port. A port that is accessable to many input and output devices and provides for quick transmission of data.

| Ethernet Port | Port that allows for high speed transfer of data to and from the internet or a smaller network.

| Port | Connection point in a computer that allows for exchange of data between the computer and devices or a network.

| Touch Screen | Hardware that serves the function of monitor as well as input device. User touches the screen in indicated areas to input data and make selections.
