Text Box   represents a part of the page where we can type text.

drop down menu   allows the user to choose one value from a list. When a drop-down list is inactive, it displays a single value. When activated, it displays (drops down) a list of values, from which the user may select one.

scroll menu   the menu has a scroll bar to enable you to access all the options.

checkboxes   They allow you to select one or more options from a list of options.

radio buttons   Radio buttons allow you to select one option from a list of options.

desktop   the area that appears on the screen after the computer is turned on.

icon   a graphic symbol that represents a software progra, command or feature

alert box   small messages the computer places on the screen to alert you to important information or to ask you questions before carrying out a task

mouse   a palm-sized device used to control the movement of an object on the computer screen called a mouse cursor, or pointer.

mouse cursor   acts as our virtual finger inside the computer screen, allowing us to press buttons, to select items from menus, and to interact with other objects we see on the computer screen.

link   words that can be clicked to move to another page. Often the words (called links) are underlined and appear in a different color than the rest of the text.

double clicking   clicking the left mouse button twice in rapid succession without letting the mouse move between clicks

click and drag   a way to move certain objects on the screen. To move an object, place the mouse cursor over it, press and hold down the left mouse button, then move the mouse while still holding down the left mouse button

control clicking   clicking the right mouse will open a set of menu items

scroll bar   located on the right side of the window, allows you to move a document so that you can see the parts that are not currently visible.

Review the information in the table. When you are ready to quiz yourself you can hide individual columns or the entire table. Then you can click on the empty cells to reveal the answer. Try to recall what will be displayed before clicking the empty cell.
 
To hide a column, click on the column name.
 
To hide the entire table, click on the "Hide All" button.
 
You may also shuffle the rows of the table by clicking on the "Shuffle" button.
 
Or sort by any of the columns using the down arrow next to any column heading.
If you know all the data on any row, you can temporarily remove it by tapping the trash can to the right of the row.
