downtime   Time in which a system is unavailable.
🗑
data corruption   A serious failure that occurs when data is unreadable, incomplete, or damaged.

🗑
redundancy   The duplication of one or more fields of data in multiple tables.
🗑
normalization   The process of structuring a database to avoid redundancy (duplication of entries) and undesirable dependencies (relationships between entries).
🗑
data contamination   A ripple effect caused by an error in the system. It involves the spread of incorrect information and can have serious consequences.
🗑
data validation   Techniques that ensure that users enter correct and complete data into the system.
🗑
referential integrity   Involves making sure that the records entered into tables remain consistent with the relationships between the tables.
🗑
range check   A simple error-checking system usually performed on numeric data entries.
🗑
alphanumeric check   A data validation check that allows only letters of the alphabet and digits to be entered.
🗑
consistency check   A data validation check made against previously entered data that has already been validated.

Review the information in the table. When you are ready to quiz yourself you can hide individual columns or the entire table. Then you can click on the empty cells to reveal the answer. Try to recall what will be displayed before clicking the empty cell.

To hide a column, click on the column name.

To hide the entire table, click on the "Hide All" button.

You may also shuffle the rows of the table by clicking on the "Shuffle" button.

Or sort by any of the columns using the down arrow next to any column heading.
If you know all the data on any row, you can temporarily remove it by tapping the trash can to the right of the row.
