| 6-9 months | holds and sucks cracker; grabs spoon but bangs it or sucks on it

| 9-13 months | finger-feeds soft table food

| 12-14 months | dips food in spoon but spills by inverting spoon before reaches mouth

| 15-18 months | scoops food with spoon and brings to mouth

| 24-30 months | proficient with spoon and demonstrates interest in fork
