| What is a QR Code? | It is the trademark for a type of matrix barcode (or two-dimensional bar code). It features fast readability and greater storage capacity compared to standard UPC barcodes

| What are they made up of? | The code consists of black modules (square dots) arranged in a square grid on a white background.

| How are they detected? | QR code is detected as a 2-dimensional digital image by a semiconductor image sensor and is then digitally analyzed by a programmed processor.

| What does the processor have to locate to scan the code properly? | The processor locates the three distinctive squares at the corners of the image, and uses a smaller square near the fourth corner to normalize the image for size, orientation, and angle of viewing

Review the information in the table. When you are ready to quiz yourself you can hide individual columns or the entire table. Then you can click on the empty cells to reveal the answer. Try to recall what will be displayed before clicking the empty cell.
