What is a CD-R? | Compact disk recordable- You can burn information on to a cd. Good for large projects. Cannot be edited.-needs a cd-r component on a computer to burn. |
What is a CD-RW? | Compact disc-rewritable. Also good for large information, can be edited.- needs a cd-rw componet on computer to burn and play. |
What is a USB port? | Universal Serial Bus port. Used to connect many different devices to your computer. |
What is assistive technology (AT)? | devices used for special needs students such as special keyboards and readers. |
What is a bit? | One binary character. 1 or 0 |
What is a byte? | Eight bits, can be represented as a letter such as A |
What is the cache? | Temporary storage area for quick access to information. |
What is a pixel? | A single colored square, put together with others to for an image to be shown. |
