Characteristics of prokaryotes Lack a membrane-bound nucleus; single, circular chromosome in the nucleoid region. Have one chromosome, semifluid cytoplasm, & thousands of ribosomes. Also have cell/plasma membrane some have flagella, some have fimriae. Lack organelles.
eukaryotes True Nucleus, domain eukarya, divided into 4 kingdoms.

sturcture of prokaryote cells Structurally, just like a humans. 46 chromosomes in each cell.
In the Domain Eukarya, divided into 4 kingdoms: Protista, Fugi, Plant and Animal. All have a true nucleus as well as numerous organelles.
nucleous Dark region within the nucleus where ribosomes are made.
Prokaryotic Cells Litterally means "before nucleus" Smaller than eukaryotic cells. Of the 3 domains, two are composed of this type of cell.
