Various methods of accessing Emergency Care

| Benefits of universal number | Often staffed by trained dispatchers Saves time Easily remembered |
| Enhanced 911 | Enhanced 911 is a specialized system that can locate the address of the caller even if the caller is not able to provide it |
| Non 911 | in some areas 911 is not available. Callers either dial a number to a dispatch center, or call directly to the service they need (police, fire, ambulance) |
