Independent Variable (IV) A Single factor changed by the scientist in an experiment
Dependent Variable (DV) Change(s) measured/recorded in an experiment

Organism Anything that shows all the characteristics of life; a living thing
Metabolism the process of breaking down food into energy
reproduction the process of making more of your own kind
Responsiveness Reacting to something in your environment
heredilty the process of passing traits from parents to offspring
Growth increase in size
homeostasis regulation of an organism's internal environment to proper balance
