What is an Epidermis? An outer layer that is composed of scaly epithelial and dead cells.
What causes skin cancer? Skin cancer occurs in the sun exposed areas of the body.
What is a dermis? An innermost layers of the skin composed of living cells.
What are the two major types of glands in the dermis and what do they do? Sweat glands produce sweat that contain salt, water, and other compounds. Sebaceous glands produces oily secretion to keep the keratin rich and flexible.
What is a nail root? It's located near the tips of the fingers and toes.
