Caused by a virus, shows painful sores. Cannot be cured, just treated. Can be passed even when sores are not present Genital Herpes

Caused by a bacteria, the primary phase produces a painless chancre sore (usually on genitals). Syphilis
Can lead to cervical cancer and other less common types of cancer. HPV
