What is evolution? species changing over time to survive better in their environment
What is macroevolution? large-scale visible, speciation, the formation of an entirely new species.
What is microevolution? the changes in one gene pool of a population over generations
What are the 3 main pieces of evidence of evolution? Fossils, analogous structures, and homologous structures
What is a population? the smallest group that can evolve and which consists of all the members of one species in one place
What are vestigial structures? Evidence that the anatomy of animals has evolved.
What are the 3 main types of natural selection? Stabilizing selection, disruptive selection and directional selection.
