What does the nucleus do? It directs the cell’s activities
What do roots do? 1. Get nutrients from soil 2. Store food
Definition of chlorophyll? A chemical in the plant - changes sunlight, water and carbon dioxide into food(sugar)
What is the green substance in a plant and where is it stored? Chlorophyll is stored in the chloroplast
How do plants release energy? They break down sugar and react with oxygen
Which bodily system does the mouth belong to? Digestive system
In a living organism, list items in increasing size? Cell - tissue - organ - organ system
