| Mitochondria | Generates the cells energy using sugar and oxygen. |
| Chloroplast | Uses energy from the sun to convert carbon dioxide and water into sugar. |
| Lysosomes | Contain digestive enzymes to break down materials. |
| Vacuole | Stores food, water, and waste. |
| Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum | Detoxifies harmful substances. |
| Cytoskeleton | Helps the cell maintain its shape and gives support to the cell. |
| Chromosomes | Contains an organism’s entire gnome, or genetic material. |
| Centrosome | Moves the microtubules around so they can send out spindle fibers to attach to the centromeres on the chromosomes. |
