Life Science the study of living things.
Scientific Method a series of steps scientists use to solve problems.
Observation using your senses to gather information
Hypothesis a testable educated guess.
Control the factor that does not change in the experiment.
Variable the factor that changes in the experiment.
Data any information gathered in an experiment
Technology the application of science for practical purposes, makes our life easier.
Compound Light Microscope uses light to magnify images.
Electron Microscope uses a beam of electrons to magnify images.
Area measure of the surface size L x W
Volume how much space something takes up.
Mass the measure of the amount of matter in an object
Weight a reflection of the gravitational pull on an object.
Temperature measure of how hot or cold something is
Model a representation of an object or idea.
Scale the relationship between the measurment of the real object and the model.
Theory a combination of many hypothesis that have been supported by testing.
Law tells us how something works.
Graph a visual representation of data.
