Immune Attack Vocabulary

QuestionAnswer
Virus A sub-microscopic infectious agent that is unable to grow or reproduce outside of a host cell
Red Blood Cell Carries oxygen from lungs to the tissues and carries carbon dioxide from the tissues back to the lungs
Neutrophil Fast moving immune cells (white blood cells) that are 'front-line' soldiers of the immune system
Plasma The fluid part of the blood
Platelets Small fragments of cells that stick to the edges of damaged blood vessels
