Ecosystems - OCR

QuestionAnswer
Ecosystem A group of living organisms and non-living things occuring together, and the relationships between them.
Habitat The place where the organism is.
Population All the organisms of one species liing in the same place at the same time.
Community All the different populations who live in the same place at the same time.
Biotic Factors The living parts of an eco system (food supply, predation etc)
Abiotic Factors Tyhe non-living parts of an eco system (water, pHof soil)
Niche The role a species plays in an eco system
Dynamic The fluctuation of the population size.
Producer An organism which makes its own energy, and supplys the energy to other organisms.
Consumer Things which gain their energy by eating other organisms (primary, secondary, tertiary)
Decomposer Feed on waste material and dead organisms
Trophic level level at which an organism feeds at.
