Variations and how they occur

What three things cause variations? 1-Meiosis 2-Sexual Reproduction 3-Mutation
What are the two types of variation? Discontinuous/Discrete and Continuous.
What shape would continuous variation give if plotted on a graph? A normal distibution curve.
What is an example of Discrete variation? Blood group, Gender, Colour, Presence of flagellum.
What is an example of continuous variation? Height, Length of Leaf, Length of stalk.
What is variation within a species called? Intra-specific variation.
What is variation between species called? Inter-specific variations
What two things can affect variations? Genetics and the enviroment.
