Somatic and Germline gene therapy

Where are the alleles added/taken away in Somatic therapy? Body (Somatic) cells
Where are the alleles added in Germline therapy? Germline cells
How long are the cells effected for in Somatic gene therapy? Until it dies, it does not pass on the gene so the affect is short lived.
How long are the cells affected for in Germline gene therapy? Permanently, all future cells/offspring will share this characteristic.
How easy is it to perform Somatic gene therapy? Difficult, need to find target cells inside the body.
How easy is it to perform Germline therapy? Easy, target cell easier to find.
Which of the therapy's has greater ethical issues surrounding it. Germline as it is permantent and passed on. Somatic is temporary and more manageable.
