Charles Darwin Darwin took a job on the HMS Beagle ship as a naturalist and concluded several theories and said that animals adapt to their environment ot survive on the Galapagos Islands
adaptation any traits or characteristics that helps an organisms survive
species a group of organisms that can reproduce viable offspring
Natural Selection the process in which organisms with favorable traits survive, reproduce, and pass on these favorable traits pass them on to the next generations
There are four things needed for Natural Selection. WHAT R THEY? 1. Overep:pop of organisms that produce a large number of ofspr 2. genetic var.: within the pop there are slight dif. 3. Struggles to Survive: within a pop there is pressure to survive 4. Sucessful Rep.: favorable traits are passed on to the next gen.
