What are the 2 parts of Meiosis called? Meiosis 1 and Meiosis 2
What happens in the 2nd part of Meiosis? The separating of chromatids
What is the result of Meiosis? the production of four haploid cells from a diploid cell
What type of reproduction is Meiosis? Sexual Reproduction
Copies of chromosomes are held together by ? Centromeres
Crossing over points are called? Chiasmata
Dna Replication takes place when? Interphase
In prophase 2, each cell is ? Haploid
When does crossing over occur? Prophase 1
During which phase do chromosomes line up along the equator? Metaphase 1 & 2
During which hase does the nuclear membrane form around the chromosome? Telophase
When do chromatids separate? Anaphase 2
When homologous chromosomes pair up and form tetrads Prophase 1
Your result of meiosis, are the cells haploid or diploid? Haploid
Meiosis is different then Mitosis, How? At the end of Meiosis your left with 4 cells instead of 2 identical ones.
What happens in interphase? Cell growth and DNA replication
In Meiosis 2 how many cells do you have? You now have 2
What are diplod Cells? Cells hat contain 2 sets of chromosomes, one from mother .one from father
