Stem Biology

QuestionAnswer
Stems have these functions. Supports leaves, buds, and carries water and minerals.
Three major parts of the stem xylem, phloem, cambium
What does the xylem do? conduct water and minerals
Phloem transports this. Food
The cambium does this. It is where cell division occurs.
Where a leaf is found on the stem? At the node.
What is the area on the stem between nodes? The internode.
