What does DNA stand for? Deoxyribonucleic acid
What kind of macromolecule is DNA? nucleic acid
what are the three parts of a nucleotide? phosphate, sugar, base

What two molecules are linked together to form the sides of the DNA molecule? phosphate and sugar
What molecules make up the "steps" or the middle of the DNA molecule? the bases
how many strands of nucleotides are found in a DNA molecule? 2 strands of nucleotides
what shape is the double stranded DNA molecule? double helix (spiral)
What are the 4 bases found in DNA? adenine, thymine, cytosine, guanine
What is the base pairing rule? only certain bases bond together in the DNA double helix. A<-->T and C<-->G
What holds the DNA bases together in the middle of the double helix? hydrogen bonds
The following is a sequence of DNA: ATT GCC GTC TGA What is the complementary sequence? TAA CGG CAG ACT
